Deviram Gujrar is a lone crusader, working to save the trees in the three kilometer strip which forms the crucial tiger corridor between Ranthambhor National Park and Kela Devi Sanctuary. At 49 today he has put in 20 years of sweat and blood into protecting these trees from being cut for fire wood by his fellow villagers. Socially ostracized and banned by the Panchayat, his fight to protect the environment is on.
